Event Description:
As part of our Cooke Connections: Boston visit, we will host two major events: A Career Pathways Chat with Cooke Alums followed by a mix-and-mingle networking event, and a company tour and professional development lunch at Great Hill Partners.
Overview of the Event:
Networking and Community Building Session
Date: Thursday, November 2 from 5:30 - 8:45 p.m. ET
Location: District Hall, 75 Northern Ave, Boston, MA 02210
Career Pathways Chat: Jennifer Krasilovsky, our Dean of Career Services, will be moderating a panel discussion for Scholars from 6:00 - 7:00 p.m. Panelists will include Daven McQueen, a writer and communications professional, and Bryan Peacker, a medical student at Harvard Medical School. We are also excited to announce a third panelist, Cooke Alum and MIT Postdoctoral Associate Dina Asfaha. It's going to be a great conversation!
Networking and Dinner: 7:00 p.m. - 8:45 p.m. ET. Following the panel discussion, light dinner will be served and attendees will have the chance to mingle and hear remarks from Cooke Foundation Executive Director Seppy Basili. We are also offering free professional headshots to Scholars and Alums!
A Company Tour and Professional Development Lunch at Great Hill Partners
Date: Friday, November 3 from 10:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. ET
Location: Great Hill Partners, 200 Clarendon St (29th Floor), Boston, MA 02116
Hosted by: Cooke Alums Veda Eswarappa, Vice President at Great Hill Partners, and Abbeygale Anderson, Venture Partner at Techstars.
Lunch and Professional Development: Boxed lunch will be served and Scholars will have the opportunity to get resume feedback from professionals on site, as well as tips on networking and career development.
Attire: Business casual attire suggested.
